Olga den Besten

Olga den Besten is a social sciences researcher currently based in Paris. For the last five years, she has been working mainly in the field of childhood studies, doing research in Russia, Germany, France, and the UK. This work has focused on the relationship of migrant children with their urban environment, as well as how children can contribute to changing their environment through participating in school-building projects. In her research Olga has used visual methods, in particular, subjective, or mental, maps drawn by children.
